Speaker: Lynn Nguyen | COO of RACEFI
Introduction
Hello everyone my name is Lynn — COO of RaceFi and we are a car racing game on the blockchain. So currently we are on Solana but we have made our decision to go multichain and now we are building our BNB Chain infrastructure. So for our car racing game, we have PvE, PvP, and battle modes where players can equip their cars with guns and shields so they can fight within the race. And also we have advertisements in the game for any brands or projects that want to advertise to our community can hire a banner along the racetrack to reach our users.
So that’s pretty much about us thank you for having me and I’m so excited to be here and to share with you guys all our BNB chain journey.
What set BNB Chain apart from other blockchains and infrastructure providers?
Yeah, that’s a good question. So I guess the reason why we decide to go to multichain is to give our users freedom, if you’re building on one chain only then it kind of limits the possibilities of your users and log them into one ecosystem. If we go multichain, then we offer them the freedom to choose which blockchain is the most suitable for them, and then they can have any kind of connection with the same gaming infrastructure.
So when researching what chain we’re going multichain for RaceFi, we looking for 2 things:
- The first thing is high-speed transactions
- And the second one is a low gas fee
Cause that’s everything for gamers. They don’t want to be stuck on each transaction forever. And we’re also looking for something with a massive community like mainstreams so that it will save us some time in onboarding gamers to Web 3. And with an existing massive gaming community like BNB Chain, we can also attract more players into our ecosystem.
So I think BNB Chain matches our 2 criteria of high-speed transactions and low gas fee so that’s why we decided to build on BNB Chain.
How do you see the future of web3 and decentralized applications working from now on? And what do you see BNB Chain plan and special use of the game like I said it would eventually require to bring together these massive online experiences? And I also want you to talk about specific things that add to the future of web3 whether you feel it currently exists or should exist.
I think we are seeing a lot of movement in terms of mainstream adoption. So just one of the thoughts I think maybe at the end of like at the same time next year, there will be no term of NFT anymore, so we’ll kind of refer to be like a digital collectible, or like a gaming collectible are any from that would be like easier for the mainstream to understand. And I guess all the bubbles interact metaverse or like you need to get in web3 so that you can make more money and kind of stuff has already burst during the winter period that we’re having right now. So everything will go back to the real utilities and games like a really strong section with real utilities for NFT that they can own a part of the game that they love and they can participate in the ecosystem by real ownership of the games.
So I guess what I’m predicting is like a blockchain can be like the underlying infrastructure, it’s can be technology, but when gamers onboarding into a game, then first of all they need to have free to play so they can try it out first, and once they get hooked to it then they can decide to maybe invest more or they want to be a part of the community that’s why they buy the collectibles. But all the friction in terms of onboarding into web3 would be more or less easier for gamers to join in the gamefi section.
Are there any upcoming development partnerships that you want to share with the community, upcoming campaigns, your roadmap, and your plans?
At the moment, as I was saying that we are on Solana but we decided to go multichain on BNB Chain and Polygon as well, so we will launch our test net in February of next year with the three chains at the same time.
So it’s pretty exciting but also nerve-racking at the same time and we’re doing our best to prepare anything before our game launch.
So it will be an open test-net for everyone to come in and try the game and we also have a tournament worth 50000 $USCT so that we can reward our free-to-play testers if they come in and try our game. And we want to have all of that valuable feedback before we launch our main-net.
So yeah, pretty exciting.
